A crewed yacht charter in Fort Lauderdale costs about $5,000 to $7,700 for 4 hours on a 57 to 78 ft yacht, and $9,700 to $12,500 for 4 hours on a 94 to 112 ft yacht, based on eight real yachts listed for charter on October 15, 2026. That works out to roughly $1,250 to $3,100 per hour, for up to 13 guests. Add a crew gratuity, which Fort Lauderdale listings put at 10 to 20%.
Smaller captained boats cost much less: marketplace Getmyboat puts captained motor yachts at roughly $300 to $700+ an hour.

Sources as listed under each table. The Fort Lauderdale figures are specific yachts on one date; the Miami figures are operators' published ranges, which start lower partly because some exclude gratuity and tax. Compare all-in totals for your date rather than these headline numbers. More detail in our Miami yacht rental prices guide.
What is added on top
- Gratuity. Getmyboat calls a 10 to 20% crew gratuity customary in Fort Lauderdale; in Miami, operators publish 15 to 20%, and some add 18% automatically.
- Tax and marina fees. Getmyboat lists taxes and marina pickup fees as extras. Miami Yacht Connect adds 7% sales tax at checkout.
- Food, drinks and toys. Usually extra unless the listing says otherwise.
Worked example: the Azimut 64 at $6,246 for 4 hours, plus a 20% gratuity, is about $7,500, or about $577 per guest with 13 aboard. Our calculation, before any tax or extras.
How many guests?
Every yacht in the table is listed for up to 13 guests. That comes from U.S. Coast Guard rules: a vessel carrying more than six passengers for hire needs a Certificate of Inspection, and bareboat charters are limited to 12 passengers plus the charterer (U.S. Coast Guard). For bigger groups, see yachts for more than 13 guests.
Where Fort Lauderdale charters go
Getmyboat says most Fort Lauderdale outings cruise the Intracoastal Waterway and the New River, past waterfront homes, with Lake Sylvia a calm spot for swimming. Departures in the listings above include Las Olas Marina and other addresses around the Intracoastal; your confirmation names the exact dock.
Tips for a better price
- Weekdays outside December to April: YATR says peak season and weekends carry premium rates.
- Compare three yachts of similar size for your exact date: in the table, the 64 ft Azimut was listed about 11% higher than the 74 ft Sunseeker.
- Take 8 hours if you can: on the Sunseeker 95, the 8-hour listing works out cheaper per hour than the 94 ft Lazzara's 4-hour price.
- Ask what is included: captain, crew, fuel, tax and gratuity differ by listing.
