VisionF Yachts has launched the second vessel of its E-Cat 80 line, a 23.97-meter all-electric catamaran built in carbon fiber at the company’s shipyard in Tuzla, Istanbul. With its expanded solar panel array—62 panels now generating 24.8 kW per hour—the new model improves on the original with more self-sufficient cruising capabilities and updated creature comforts, including a jacuzzi on the flybridge and a kid-friendly fifth guest cabin.

With a nearly 11-meter beam, the E-Cat 80 offers serious volume, including space for up to 12 guests across five staterooms and a sprawling flybridge with four distinct seating areas. A hydraulic tender garage aft houses up to two tenders or a pair of Jet Skis, while the yacht’s twin 180 kW electric motors and optional generators ensure a range of over 1,000 nautical miles when backup power is needed. Tailored for private ownership or charter service, this second E-Cat 80 continues VisionF’s push toward energy-efficient multihull cruising.

VisionF Yachts has announced that its latest model, the Superfast 46, a 46-foot power catamaran designed for speeds up to 80 knots, will debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

The Superfast 46 marks a departure from the Turkish builder’s cruiser models, focusing on high-speed performance with lightweight composite construction. The hull is built using infusion and vacuum bagging techniques with multi-axial carbon fiber materials to reduce weight while maintaining strength.

With a beam of approximately 12 feet and a sub-2-foot draft, this power cat is designed for stability and access to skinny water. Notable features include a carbon fiber spoiler, a custom carbon dashboard and high-gloss gelcoat.

Propulsion comes from a pair of 450 hp Mercury Racing Sportmaster outboards with Mercury’s Active Trim system and Racing Revolution X lower units. The boat also has a VesselView 903 display, 6-inch electric hydraulic jackplate and hydraulic steering. A Mercury Joystick Piloting system is an option.

There are twin 158.5-gallon fuel tanks, providing approximately two hours of run time at high speed. The helm is equipped with a 19-inch Garmin (1623 XSV) display and a Silva 85E compass. Perko pop-up navigation lights are also installed.

Interior seating has a shock-absorbing system designed for comfort during high-speed operation. Safety equipment includes three 2,000 gph bilge pumps and two fire extinguishers. Some options include an anchor and rear camera systems.

Entertainment is handled via a Fusion Apollo audio system with four 6.5-inch speakers, a 10-inch subwoofer and an MS-RA770 stereo unit. The Superfast 46 is part of a lineup, which includes eight other models: the fully-electric VisionF E-Cat 62 and 80, aluminum models in 80-, 82-, 101-, and 120-foot lengths and the flagship VisionF 155.

VisionF Yachts in Turkey has launched its 78-foot flagship, all-aluminum power catamaran dubbed the Vision F82.

In addition to the powercat’s 78-foot-7-inch length overall, the Vision F82 is notable for its nearly 32-foot beam, which helps create wide-open entertainment spaces like the 581-square-foot salon. The builder says there is an option to have the galley adjacent to the salon. Additionally, the yacht’s size allows for a three-stateroom layout with the owner’s stateroom found in the starboard hull, complete with closets and en suite head with shower and his-and-hers sinks. There’s also room for two crew cabins for four people.

Outside spaces also benefit from the yacht’s LOA and beam, including foredeck with sun pad, a sunken lounge with a sofa and a table (shaded by the flybridge overhang). There is also room for a Williams jet tender and a Sea Doo water scooter, which, according to VisionF, can be launched and retrieved via a dedicated crane. The aft deck is set up with a sofa, four chairs, a dining table and another sun pad nearby. This area offers seamless access to the swim platform.

Spanning nearly full beam, the flybridge has a two-seat helm forward and to port. The space is flexible and can be arranged with loose furniture for lounging and catching rays. According to VisionF, “to enhance privacy when docked stern-to in the marina, a screen is positioned between the two support pillars at the back.”

From a performance perspective, the Vision F82 is powered with twin Volvo Penta 1050 IPS diesels paired to pod drives, which reportedly provide a top hop of 16 knots and a 1,600-nautical-mile range. The builder says its “eco package” option uses batteries to help the yacht’s hotel loads run sans a generator for up to 20 hours. We provide clients with a yachting experience that is ecologically responsible,” said Ali Tanir, general manager at VisionF Yachts.

Hull No. 1 of the Vision F82 was built on spec and is set up for the American market, while hull No. 2 is going to a European owner. Hull Nos. 3 and 4 are on track for a March and May 2024 completion, respectively, and are available to be customized for interested owners.

Bayliss 67 Overtime: Custom Fishing Machine

Bayliss Boats in North Carolina started construction on Overtime in August 2020. The yacht was completed in November 2022, two months ahead of schedule. Overtime has standard equipment, such as a Seakeeper stabilizer, Furuno’s Omni sonar and Northern Lights generators, while custom features include what Bayliss calls “an elaborate live well circulating system” that the owner plans to use for a substantial fishing program based out of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Inside, Overtime is the second Bayliss constructed with a walnut interior, which the yard calls “sleek and bold.” There’s a three-stateroom, two-head layout for longer itineraries, and the tackle room is designed like a showroom, with walnut, granite and a cork wall.

Riviera 46 Sports Motor Yacht: Made For Family Fun

The Riviera 46 Sports Motor Yacht is an owner-operator-friendly vessel with hand-laid fiberglass construction, notable performance, and fun and function to spare. These yachts are intended to be used for family cruising as well as adventurous getaways, with a cockpit that’s set up for entertaining, with amenities such as an electric grill, a wet bar, a sink and stowage. Just forward is a covered alfresco deck that extends the interior salon’s living space into the outdoors. Accommodations include three staterooms and two heads for comfortable family voyages, with air conditioning throughout.  There are two power options for the 46 Sport Motor Yacht—both from Volvo Penta: a twin 600 hp IPS800 or 725 hp IPS950 diesel.

Invictus TT420: Christian Grande Design

The Invictus TT420 made its debut in January in Europe, joining what is now a four-boat TT model range from the Italian builder. The boat’s lines are based on its bigger sibling, the TT460, with an integral glass windshield. Note the high bulwarks all around for safety on board, as well as the folding tables amidships that can convert into a relaxation area protected by the hardtop. Owners can opt for a hydraulic device aft to help launch the tender, a feature not commonly found aboard boats in this size range. Power is twin 440 hp Volvo Penta D6 engines in a sterndrive configuration. Look for the Invictus TT420 to become available in a new color, vogue white, which will also be available on the TT460 going forward.

Hylas M49: Ready To Roam

Hylas Yachts, long known for its Taiwanese-built sailboats, now has three powerboats among its offerings. The M49, shown here, joins the M44 and the M58 in the power lineup. The M49’s design is by New Zealand’s Salthouse, whose background is in Down East vessels with a commercial-fishing and offshore-angling heritage. Hylas says the helm station has no blind spots from stem to stern. Amenities for onboard entertaining include a refrigerator, a barbecue and a dinette. Accommodations include two staterooms and two heads, with an optional washing machine for couples or families that expect to be on board for longer cruising itineraries. Power is a pair of 370 hp Yanmars, and the boat has a fuel capacity just shy of 240 gallons.

VisionF 60: Coming In Spring 2024

Turkish builder VisionF Yachts is adding a VisionF 60 power catamaran to its offerings, which also include the VisionF 80. The yard is promising a wealth of options for the 60’s layout, with the galley on the main deck or in one of the hulls, and with three or four staterooms for overnight accommodations. One of the staterooms can be outfitted as a gym, and crew quarters can be included at the stern or the bow. Solar panels can be added to the roof for more eco-friendly cruising. Note the platform that’s aft between the hulls; it’s a high-low design that can be used for swimming or to raise the tender out of the water. Power for the mothership will be a pair of 360 hp Volvo Penta IPS600s, with the builder projecting a top speed of 21 knots.

Azimut S7
The Azimut S7 pairs sporty performance with fuel consumption that’s reportedly 20 to 30 percent lower than similar boats. Courtesy Azimut Yachts

Azimut S7: Triple Pod Propulsion

Azimut’s S7 is designed for lower fuel consumption than competing models. To help make that possible, the Italian builder used carbon fiber for  construction on quite a bit of the upper part of the yacht. The idea was to preserve the S7’s center of gravity (and, thus, guest comfort on board) while reducing the vessel’s overall weight. The result, according to Azimut, is a 30 percent reduction in weight as well as a 15 percent reduction in typical roll momentum. The S7’s layout includes four staterooms, thanks to extra interior volume that the use of space-saving IPS engines affords. There’s also a cabin for a crew member. Azimut says that with the triple 800 hp Volvo Penta IPS1050s installed, the S7 has a reported maximum speed of 35 knots.

VisionF Yachts in Turkey has unveiled its new flagship: the VisionF 100. Hull No. 1 is already sold, with delivery expected to the owner in March 2025.

The VisionF 100 will have a nearly 40-foot beam, with an owner’s choice of layouts that can include as many as six staterooms for guests. While the builder usually constructs its vessels in aluminum, the VisionF 100 will be built with a Kevlar composite. Draft will be less than 4 feet, making the yacht capable of cruising the Bahamas.

Onboard amenities are expected to include cockpit dining with convertible seating, a foredeck with an optional glass-bottom hot tub and a sundeck with dining space, sun beds and a bar.

Depending on the stateroom layout that owners select, the yacht can be built with as many as three crew cabins.

What’s the power package? Quad Volvo Penta IPS1050s, for a projected top speed of 22 knots.

Silent-Yachts and VisionF Yachts have collaborated to create the former’s first hybrid-powered boat: the Silent VisionF 82. It’s an aluminum catamaran with three driving modes: electric, hybrid and power. A fully electric model is also available; there are 34 solar panels atop the 82. Top speed is reportedly 13 knots.

Silent VisionF 82
The Silent VisionF 82 can have its galley located belowdecks or on the main deck. Here, the galley is shown on the main deck, occupying the entirety of the starboard side. Courtesy Silent-Yachts

In terms of size, the 82 is most comparable to the Silent 80: The 82 is 6 inches longer than the 80 while surrendering about 3.5 feet in beam. According to the builder, on the 82, more space is allocated to the foredeck and its “sunken lounge area” with a table, an L-shaped settee for four to port and an overhead shade from the extended flybridge deck. There’s also space for four personal watercraft or a variety of modular-furniture arrangements.

Moving inside, there’s a 581-square-foot salon, which is nicely connected to the aft deck and its alfresco dining around a table for eight. The 82 has several layout options: two galley-up versions and a galley-down option. In the galley-down option, there is one crew cabin with a V-berth forward in each of the hulls. The 94.7-square-foot galley is aft and belowdecks in the portside hull.

Silent VisionF 82
In the Silent VisionF 82’s master stateroom, eight hullside windows help to illuminate the 190-square-foot space. The king berth can be situated amidships or farther aft. Courtesy Silent-Yachts

Alternatively, the galley-up options have the galley either in the starboard after corner of the salon or along the entirety of the starboard side. A crew cabin is where the galley is located in the galley-down option. Owners can choose two stowage spaces forward in each hull, or stowage in the portside hull and another crew cabin in the starboard hull.

Regardless of the layout, the 82 has four staterooms for the owners and guests. The 190-square-foot master stateroom is located in the starboard hull with eight hullside windows to illuminate the space. Its en suite head has his-and-her sinks and a 21-square-foot shower. Each of the forward guest staterooms is 91 square feet, and the portside, amidships guest stateroom is nearly 97 square feet. It can double as an office for boaters who need to get in a little work before snorkeling.

Silent VisionF 82
In addition to plenty of space for a variety of modular furniture arrangements, the Silent VisionF 82’s master stateroom has space enough for personal gym equipment. After a workout, the 21-square-foot shower awaits. Courtesy Silent-Yachts

The 82’s flybridge has space for lounge furniture in various arrangements, or it can be utilized as an alfresco gym for fitness buffs. Regardless of the amenities here, the flybridge will always have 145 square feet of forward-facing sun pads, and there can also be four more aft-facing sun pads on the after part of the flybridge.
