Viking 68 Enclosed Bridge
Mine Time is a 2021 Viking 68 Enclosed Bridge sport-fisher which is well-laid out for either cruising or fishing. It’s available through HMY Yacht Sales for $5.450 million. Courtesy HMY Yacht Sales

Viking 68 Enclosed Bridge – Mine Time

The 2021 Viking 68 Enclosed Bridge known as Mine Time features a climate-controlled enclosed bridge for all-weather comfort as well as a four-stateroom, four-head layout. It’s currently located at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida, and is offered by HMY Yacht Sales for $5.450 million.

Whether fishing or cruising, the enclosed bridge doubles as a private retreat aboard the yacht, with an L-shaped lounge, entertainment center and walnut woodwork. A polished stainless steel spiral staircase connects the salon to the bridge, while a weatherproof aft door leads to the pod-style docking station.

Mine Time is equipped with a Platinum Extended Warranty for the Seakeeper 26, an Extended MTU Engine Warranty up to 4,000 hours and a newly installed Starlink system for seamless global connectivity. It also has a high-gloss walnut interior, island galley and four-stateroom layout.

Mine Time also features updated electronics from Furuno and Garmin, including the Furuno omni sonar, with additional Garmin displays at the aft helm docking station and in the tower. All electronics were professionally installed by Viking subsidiary AME Electronics.

Of the Viking 68 Convertible, Yachting previously wrote: “The 68C has a Viper steering system, meaning her rudders are independent of each other, a setup that gives the captain a high level of control. As I carved S-turns through the slop, there was no doubt as to the system’s efficacy. She cruised easily at 35 knots at 2,150 rpm, and when I dropped the hammer, she climbed briskly up to 41 knots — a speed that any fisherman trying to beat the clock back to the docks for a weigh-in will appreciate. And even at that speed, she remained dry, with the spray coming off her hull just abaft amidships.”

Where is Mine Time located? The yacht is currently lying at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida.

Viking 68C El Dorado
El Dorado is a very lightly used Viking 68 Convertible, ready to fish or cruise today. It’s offered by Galati Yacht Sales in Anna Maria Island, Florida. Courtesy Galati Yacht Sales

Viking 68C – El Dorado

According to the brokers at Galati Yacht Sales, the 2022 Viking 68 Convertible known as El Dorado represents a great opportunity to own a current model Viking that is very lightly used and never fished. The current owner built this Viking thinking ahead to have all the systems prepped and prewired for the next owner. There has been light cruising and very little use in the interior. El Dorado is asking $4.6 million.

Of the Viking 68C, Yachting previously wrote: “Viking’s designers have given the 68 Convertible an accommodation plan similar to and as spacious as the three-stateroom layout of the 65, with an important exception. Using the extra 3 feet of length and an extra inch of beam, they have managed to add a fourth stateroom that does not require reworking the portside master stateroom into a smaller space, as was done on the 65.

Otherwise, like the 65, the 68 Convertible has a VIP stateroom with an island queen berth forward, a master stateroom with an athwartship queen berth to port, and a cabin with upper and lower twin berths to port. The fourth stateroom, to port abaft the master stateroom, also carries upper and lower berths. It, like the other three staterooms, has an en suite head with shower. A passageway that curves as it goes from the saloon stair to the bow helps avoid the visual effect of a long, narrow tunnel that afflicts too many designs.”

The vessel’s 1,925 hp Caterpillar C32A engines have just 185 hours on them, and have the Platinum Plus warranty through 4/2026 or 2,000 hours.

Where is El Dorado located? The yacht is currently lying in Anna Maria Island, Florida.

Viking 70 Enclosed Bridge – Last Call

Reel Cents is a 2019 Viking 80 Enclosed Bridge located in Key Largo, Florida, and offered by HMY Yacht Sales for $7.650 million. Courtesy HMY Yacht Sales

Viking 80 Enclosed Bridge – Reel Cents

Reel Cents is a 2019 Viking 80 Enclosed Bridge which has been outfitted by a knowledgeable owner and captain for turn-key fishing and cruising in style. Among its many features is the Furuno omni sonar and ElectroSea raw-water system, in addition to the low-hour MTU M96L 16V2000 engines. It’s offered for sale by HMY Yacht Sales for $7.650 million.

The enclosed bridge layout is designed for both relaxation and functionality. An L-shaped custom sofa comfortably seats four, with built-in storage beneath and a high-gloss cocktail table. Additional amenities include ample storage, Sub-Zero refrigerated drawers, and a 50-inch Samsung TV. For a smooth and comfortable cruising experience, the bridge is outfitted with three Stidd chairs, ensuring both guests and the captain travel in style.

The salon is designed with ample space and a neutral color scheme. It is fully equipped and appears brand new, according to the broker.

Yachting previously wrote: “This yacht’s engine room is well laid out, even with the big, optional, 2,635 hp MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesels that were installed on our test boat. (Twin 1,915 hp Cat C32 ACERTs are standard.) Plenty of headroom (6 feet 4 inches on centerline), total access to all maintenance areas and equipment, refrigerator-white Awlgrip finish and places for all the redundant systems (including a pair of 29 kW Onan gensets and two centralized sea-water pumps) are just some of the features found here.”

Mechanically, the broker says Reel Cents shows as new. It has the upgraded MTU M96L 16V2000 engines with less than 1,000 hours.

Viking 80C A Salt Weapon
A Salt Weapon is a 2023 Viking 80 Convertible sport-fisher offered for sale by HMY Yacht Sales for $8.495 million. Courtesy HMY Yacht Sales

Viking 80 Convertible – A Salt Weapon

The 80 Convertible from Viking Yacht Company was a best-seller for the builder virtually from the day it was introduced. A Salt Weapon is a 2023 80C with striking Nardo Grey paint, located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The vessel is offered by HMY Yacht Sales for $8.495 million.

According to the builder, in order to enhance performance and achieve better engine and propulsion efficiencies, the design, engineering and production teams shaved unnecessary poundage, while increasing strength and seakeeping capabilities. A modified vinylester resin is used in the entire hull skin. The resin-infused hull is a sophisticated composite structure of end-grain balsa and foam cores with e-glass and carbon fiber hybrid laminates and a custom modified epoxy resin. Stringers are fiberglass encapsulated foam and the structural bulkheads are also resin infused.

Mechanically, the 80 Convertible shares a commonality of technical features with other Vikings. Chilled water air conditioning provides cooling and heat throughout the yacht with individual thermostats in the staterooms and the salon for efficient climate control. A Delta-T engine room ventilation system with thermostatically controlled supply and discharge fans provide proper fresh air circulation and water intrusion suppression. Pneumatically controlled engineroom ventilation dampers are integrated into the yacht’s fire suppression system. Optimus electric power steering delivers maneuverability in all sea conditions.

A lengthy list of standard equipment includes a hydraulic bow thruster, a centralized seawater system, a freshwater system, Veem S-class propellers, two 32 kW generators, two Glendinning Cablemasters, voltage stabilizer isolation transformers for more consistent, cleaner voltage, and an Octoplex touch screen electrical distribution panel with monitors in the salon and on the flybridge with manual back-up.

Powered with tier 3 MTU Series 2000 V16 M96L engines, A Salt Weapon has a top speed of more than 40 knots and a high-30 knot cruise, depending upon load and sea conditions.

Yachting previously wrote: “To be sure, there’s beauty in this beast, and it is obvious to the eye and the senses as she comes into view. She bears all the hallmarks of her 92 Enclosed Bridge big sister, starting with a wonderfully symmetrical profile topped off by a skyscraper-like tower, built by Viking’s own Palm Beach Towers.

Immediately noticeable are her sharp entry, proud bow and foredeck, well-proportioned house, striking black mask, low-slung 216-square-foot cockpit and curved transom with eye-catching tumblehome in the corners.”

1985 Feadship Sportfish 87'
Thanks Buds, a 1985 Feadship Sportfish 87′, is powered by twin 1,550 hp Caterpillar C-30 diesel engines, providing a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots. The asking price is $995,000. Courtesy Gilman Yachts

1985 Feadship Sportfish 87′ – Thanks Buds

Thanks Buds, a 1985 Feadship Sportfish 87′, is a classic battlewagon, ready for long-distance adventure angling and that accommodates six guests in three staterooms. Gilman Yachts has listed Thanks Buds for $995,000.

In 2005, Thanks Buds was upgraded with twin 1,550 hp Caterpillar C-30 diesel engines coupled to ZF 2050 transmissions with a 2.519:1 gear-reduction ratio. The yacht has a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots.

The yacht’s spacious teak cockpit features a varnished teak transom, teak wraparound covering boards, and padded coaming bolsters. A fighting chair is installed for reeling in large catches, and a transom door allows easy access for landing bigeye tuna.

The foredeck houses a 2006 17′ Maverick HPX flats boat with a 2005 90 hp Yamaha 4-stroke outboard, along with a Marquipt 1,700-pound telescoping hydraulic davit. Two Viking eight-man life rafts in canisters are secured on the bow, flanking the tender. A teak sole extends from the windlass forward, where a 180-pound Poole galvanized anchor is mounted through the hull portside with a stainless-steel surround, 300 feet of 5/8” chain and a high-pressure chain wash.

A 10-step stainless-steel-and-teak ladder leads to the enclosed pilothouse, paneled in satin-finish teak. Inside, to port and starboard, are two curved leather settees with triangular tables, each seating two to three people with storage below. The expansive helm console is centerline with walkaround space on both sides. A 9-foot-wide settee upholstered in tan leather is in front of the helm, and further forward, beneath the three-panel windshield, are seven cabinet doors housing.

The salon preserves its original interior, with wood grains glowing under natural light from large side windows. Guests can relax on a U-shaped sofa with a table or grab a drink from the wet bar. A Samsung 49-inch LED TV is hidden behind tambour doors. Overhead, there is stowage for up to 25 rods, 14 LED lights, a smoke-and-fire sensor and five Bose mini-cube speakers. The salon sole is covered in neutral-tone plush carpet.

Belowdecks, three en suite staterooms accommodate owners and guests. The owner’s stateroom, located forward, is well insulated from bow noise by an expansive bosun’s locker and under-berth stowage. The centerline king-sized berth is surrounded by built-in cabinetry, with two large drawers at the foot of the bed and three top-loading stowage cabinets on each side.

The portside guest stateroom features twin oversized side-by-side berths, while the starboard guest stateroom has twin-size over/under berths, with the bottom berth being oversized. Crew quarters include twin-sized over/under berths, with additional stowage space throughout.

Thanks Buds remains an icon in yachting circles. She was built as the second of two Gallant Lady Feadship Sportfisherman yachts. At the time of her build, there were no larger pedigree ‘Yacht Fisherman’ on the water. While newer, larger, and faster sportfishing yachts have since emerged, none match the class, grace, or quality of a Feadship. Her original design remains intact, with only system upgrades over the years. This is a rare opportunity to own an icon,” Gilman Yachts stated.

Where is Thanks Buds located? The yacht is currently lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Classic Cool Charter Yachts https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/cruising-and-chartering/classic-cool-charter-yachts/ Wed, 16 Apr 2025 19:00:00 +0000 https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/?p=69399 These older vessels are offering charter experiences that make them standout options, even among newer builds.

Christensen Grade I
The 142-foot Grade I was built in 1995 and most recently refitted in 2018. This Christensen build is currently available for bookings in the Caribbean at a reduced weekly base rate of $120,000 for 12 guests. Courtesy IYC

As an increasing number of new-build charter yachts flood the seasonal hot spots all across the Caribbean and Mediterranean, older vessels can have a hard time standing out in the fleet. They simply don’t have the same look and feel as newer models, and their vintage style sometimes leaves them being wrongfully overlooked when it comes time to book a vacation.

What’s so sad about that reality is that in some cases, those older charter yachts have the better charter programs. The nicest, newest, sexiest yacht in a harbor can have a terrible crew or a lousy chef, while a well-kept, older yacht can have a dialed-in team that provides top-notch service and watersports.

A good example of this phenomenon is the 142-foot Christensen Grade I. Built in 1995 and most recently refitted in 2018, Grade I is currently available for bookings in the Caribbean at a reduced weekly base rate of $120,000 for 12 guests. The yacht has six staterooms, a scuba program for certified divers, and recent client feedback that shows just how special a charter vacation on a yacht of this age can be.

Feadship Ancallia
Ancallia, a 1984 Feadship that was refitted in 2022-23, is accepting bookings this summer in Greece and Turkey for 12 guests. Courtesy Fraser

“I wanted to write you a note to formally thank you for a wonderful week on Grade I,” a client wrote to the crew. “My mother and our family felt right at home and truly relaxed to the point of time slipping right by. However, I would feel remiss if I didn’t share a few thoughts of ours from the experience. From the inside to the outside, every crew member was on point and with a smile! Never a kink in the armor. We had so many laughs, experiences, water sports, crazy sport fishing and culinary delights to the point where I can’t remember them all. Growing up in a boating family, my father always made times spent on the open water super special. He picked our crew members as family members in an effort to create an endless warm experience. We felt those old times again!”

Talk about a glowing recommendation, which was shared by Grade I’s management company, Fraser Yachts. The fact that the yacht originally launched 30 years ago didn’t matter to these charter clients at all.

Like vintage yachts for charter? Check out this Feadship, too: The 151-foot Ancallia is a 1984 build that underwent a rebuild in 2015, and then a refit in 2022-23. Classic Feadship style is still very much on display in this yacht’s exterior lines, with an updated interior that includes modern technology and amenities. Ancallia recently joined the IYC charter fleet and is accepting bookings this summer in Greece and Turkey for 12 guests.

Some pretty cool charter yachts head to the Pacific for charters these days. From Tahiti to Fiji and beyond, it’s usually possible to find at least one superyacht (and often more) with impressive features and build pedigree.

Recently, though, Edmiston made an announcement that seems as if it will be tough to beat: The 285-foot Feadship Lonian and its 216-foot Astilleros shadow cat Hodor are now accepting inquiries for charters in the Pacific during summer 2025.

The two vessels are quite a combination. Lonian is a 2018 launch that most recently was refitted in 2024. According to numerous sources, the yacht has accommodations for 14 guests in seven staterooms, with additional quarters for 27 crew. Guest amenities include a movie theater, beauty salon, elevator and swimming pool. Range is reportedly 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, with a top hop of 18 knots—allowing for some true exploring to outer-island regions where other yachts typically do not go.

Hodor, meanwhile, has been described as the world’s largest floating toybox. It was designed based on a fast ferry platform, and the catamaran shape allows for all kinds of possibilities for the cargo.

Some reports from reputable sources have cited not just the standard yacht toys such as personal watercraft and Laser dinghies, but also serious additions such as a submersible, multiple tenders in the 50-foot range, smaller tenders of various capabilities, and shoreside-ready quad bikes, ATVs and motorcycles.

There’s reportedly also a decompression chamber along with the scuba-diving equipment, as well as a dedicated workshop for keeping all the tenders and toys up and running in the best possible condition for guest use.

Edmiston is calling these two vessels the “ultimate charter package” and urging brokers to reach out on behalf of clients who want to experience “some of the world’s most breathtaking and remote destinations.”

What’s the weekly base rate to charter Lonian and Hodor in the Pacific? Sorry, that information is available only upon serious request for a booking.

Project 821: The World’s First Hydrogen-Powered Superyacht https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/yachts/project-821-the-worlds-first-hydrogen-powered-superyacht/ Fri, 20 Sep 2024 19:00:08 +0000 https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/?p=66231 Feadship’s Project 821 hydrogen-cell technology blends eco-friendly innovation into a 390-foot luxe superyacht.

How do you store compressed liquid hydrogen on a superyacht at the equivalent of minus-423 degrees Fahrenheit?

This was the toughest question Dutch builder Feadship faced as it set out to create Project 821, the world’s first hydrogen-cell superyacht. “The aim has been to develop a new, clean technology not just for this project, but for the world,” says Jan-Bart Verkuyl, Feadship director and CEO at Royal Van Lent Shipyard.

Feadship Project 821
The owner’s deck above the bridge has two bedrooms, a gym, a pantry, two offices (each with a fireplace) and a living room. Courtesy Feadship

Hydrogen fuel cells offer great promise for combustion-free cruising, with only electricity and water as their byproducts. But unlike with vehicles and spacecraft, the technology is new to recreational yachts. Weight isn’t the problem because hydrogen is light, but safely storing it on a vessel requires a double-walled cryogenic tank in a dedicated room. According to Feadship, it takes eight to 10 times more space to store hydrogen than the energy equivalent in diesel fuel.

Project 821’s size, at 390 feet long, made it a good candidate to test the technology. The tank on board holds about 4 tons of hydrogen, with the system able to provide a week’s worth of silent operation at anchor, or navigating at 10 knots while leaving harbors or cruising in protected marine zones.

All of that was achieved in addition to the kind of luxury that Feadship clients demand. The yacht’s design is by RWD, with owner representation by Edmiston. It has the most hull openings of any Feadship to date, with 14 balconies. Guest amenities include an elevator and a library.

“We have now shown that cryogenic storage of liquefied hydrogen in the interior of a superyacht is a viable solution,” Verkuyl says. “Future innovations on fuel cells and onboard reforming of methanol to hydrogen are on the near horizon.”

New Horizons

There were no regulations for hydrogen storage and fuel-cell systems on a superyacht, so Feadship, along with Edmiston and Lloyd’s Register, developed appropriately scaled equipment, protocols and safety regulations as part of the build.

Record-Setter

Project 821 is also the largest motoryacht ever launched in the Netherlands. It is about the same length as Feadship’s Launchpad, but with 30 percent more volume.

For charter clients seeking more exotic locales, IYC has just added the 131-foot Westport Rule No. 1 to its fleet, with inquiries being accepted through September 2025 for Panama, Mexico and Costa Rica. Rule No. 1 is a 2011 build that most recently was refitted in 2023, with accommodations for 12 guests in five staterooms. This yacht charters with a 37-foot Freeman tender for fishing, and has toys that include an inflatable slide.

Also available farther afield is the 75-foot Sunreef Diana, a sailing catamaran that’s in French Polynesia as part of the Y.CO fleet. Diana is a 2017 build that just completed a refit this year. The yacht accommodates eight guests in four staterooms. Amenities and crew services include a hot tub, a fitness trainer, a masseuse, a yoga instructor, and various water toys.

137-foot Kingship
Fraser’s 137-foot Kingship Ocean’s Seven, available in Croatia and the West Mediterranean, has interiors by Vripack, a full-beam master stateroom and accommodations for 10 guests. Courtesy Fraser

In Croatia and the West Mediterranean, the 137-foot Kingship Ocean’s Seven has joined the Fraser fleet. This is a 2012 build that was most recently refitted this year. Interiors on the yacht are by Vripack, with five staterooms for 10 guests. The master spans the full beam on the main deck and has a king-size berth.

Are there any options being advertised for scuba diving? Indeed, Edmiston says the 154-foot Feadship Lady Victoria is still accepting inquiries this summer in the Bahamas, and is offering scuba diving right from the yacht. Accommodations are for 12 guests in six staterooms, with a master that has its own deck and a VIP on the main deck. The swim platform can be extended and raised for diving, or submerged for guests who want to step right into the sea.

Feadship has delivered the nearly 250-foot superyacht Alvia from the Royal Van Lent shipyard in Amsterdam.

The team at Burgess announced the news after being involved throughout the sales and construction timeline. Burgess brokers guided the owner through the purchase process in 2019; its technical services team managed the build, collaborating with the owner’s representatives; its crew services team staffed the vessel; and its yacht management team is now overseeing the yacht’s operations.

Feadship Alvia
Some of the Alvia‘s features include a main-deck pool, a sports court on the foredeck and an elevator. Courtesy Feadship

“We are delighted to have worked with such an experienced and professional owner’s team to help deliver this very special yacht,” Nathan Durley-Boot, marine engineer and project manager, Burgess Technical Services, stated in a press release.

Alvia, which was delivered at the end of April, was known as Project Hanami during the construction process. The code name referred to the Japanese festival of the cherry blossom.

Exteriors are by the British studio RWD, which worked with Susan Young Interiors on the project. Standout features include a main-deck pool, a sports court on the foredeck, folding balconies on the owners’ deck, an elevator that runs from the main deck to the bridge deck, a gym and spa area, and interactive bridge deck lighting,

Gross tonnage is 2,265, creating what Burgess describes as “a feeling of space while on board.” The yacht has a trans-Atlantic range of 5,500 nautical miles, which is more than enough for going back and forth between the expected cruising grounds in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

Feadship Project 821
Project 821 measures an eye-popping 390 feet length overall and will be the world’s first hydrogen fuel-cell superyacht. Courtesy Feadship

Feadship also just launched a hydrogen-powered superyacht: In early May, Feadship’s Amsterdam shipyard launched Project 821, the world’s first hydrogen fuel-cell superyacht. At 390 feet long, Project 821 is also the largest motoryacht ever launched in The Netherlands in terms of volume.

The emissions-free Project 821 is designed by RWD with owner representation by Edmiston. While there are hydrogen fuel cell-powered cars, and while fuel cells have been used as the primary source of electrical power on human spaceflight for more than six decades, there were no maritime regulations for hydrogen storage and fuel-cell systems on a yacht of this nature. Feadship and Edmiston worked with Lloyd’s Register to develop equipment, protocols and safety regulations.

One of the biggest challenges was storing compressed liquid hydrogen belowdecks. Safe storage requires a double-walled cryogenic tank in a dedicated room. According to Feadship, it takes eight to 10 times more space to store hydrogen than the energy equivalent in diesel fuel.

Project 821 is for sale through Edmiston.

2008 Tiara Yachts 5800 Sovran – Dreamscape – St. Petersburg, FL.

Dreamscape, a 2008 Tiara Yachts 5800 Sovran, is a 58-foot express cruiser with a two-stateroom, two-head layout and triple-diesel-engine configuration. The yacht accommodates four guests for cruising and is currently listed by Galati Yacht Sales for $625,000.

This model was Tiara’s flagship at the time of launch, with a raked deckhouse, down-swept side windows, a hardtop overhang and a reverse- transom design.

Dreamscape is powered by triple, 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS 600 diesels. The IPS pod-drive system makes for easier close-quarters handling, increased fuel efficiency compared to traditional straight-shaft diesels and reduced vibration, which, in turn, lessens onboard noise.

The yacht cruises around 29 knots, with a reported top speed of 34 knots. The joystick docking system simplifies handling around the dock.

“Wait till you drive it,” came the reply from David Zgrabik, a senior service specialist for Volvo Penta. He had spent countless hours helping to plan and then install the first triple IPS 600 diesel system, the same three 435 hp engines turning azipod units with forward-facing dual-prop drives that would soon be pulling us along at cruising speeds of 30 knots for hours on end. For the next six hours, the Tiara Sovran 5800 was our magic carpet ride, smoothing out the light chop of Lake Erie.” Yachting previously reported.

The cockpit has an L-shaped settee with a high-gloss teak table, a solit setup for alfresco dining. A hydraulic swim platform with an 800-pound-capacity lift provides easy water access. There is also a wet bar with refrigerator, ice maker and electric grill. The foredeck has adjustable sun pads, offering an additional lounging space.

Sliding glass doors lead into the Dreamscape‘s salon, which includes an L-shaped leather settee, two chairs, a pop-up flat-screen TV and a wet bar with wine cooler. Large windows and skylights allow for abundant natural light.

The helm station is located forward with twin adjustable captain’s chairs. Electronics include Raymarine multifunction displays, radar, autopilot and GPS. The IPS joystick and electronic engine controls enhance boathandling. Side windows and a sunroof can be opened for breezes when desired.

Below, the galley has Corian countertops, stainless-steel appliances, a refrigerator/freezer, convection microwave, electric cooktop, dishwasher and upper/lower cabinets for stowage.

The full-beam owners’ stateroom is located amidships with a queen-size island berth, nightstands, an entertainment system and hull-side windows for ocean views. The ensuite head includes a walk-in shower and solid-surface countertops.

The VIP stateroom forward has a queen pedestal berth, under-berth and hanging locker stowage and an overhead hatch with shade and screen. Both staterooms have dedicated entertainment systems.

Where is Dreamscape located? The yacht is currently lying in St Petersburg, FL.

Pardo 38 No Worries

2023 Pardo 38 – No Worries – Newport Beach, CA.

The 2023 Pardo 38 No Worries is a couple-size walkaround cruiser that is currently on the market for $695,000 with Jeff Brown Yachts.

No Worries has triple Mercury 300 hp V8 outboards that provide a reported top speed of 50 knots. Cruise speed is 35 knots. The boat’s Seakeeper gyrostabilizer should help keep the boat stable as a table, while a bow thruster and a joystick help with close-quarters maneuvering.

“The Pardo 38 has a modified-V hull form with spray rails and a 20.5-degree deadrise aft. The ride is precise, a credit to designer Maurizio Zuccheri and Pardo’s in-house team,”  Yachting previously reported.

The vessel’s carbon-fiber center console and T-top contribute to its sleek profile. With a length of 37.92 feet and a beam of 11.81 feet, No Worries accommodates 12 guests for day tripping or four guests for weekend cruises across two staterooms.

“They (The Pardo 38, 43 and 50) all have a distinctive reverse bow, pop-out anchor cradles, high bulwarks capped with teak, carbon-fiber center consoles and T-tops, cockpit galleys, sun pads fore and aft, and aft-deck tables. The 38 just shrinks these elements into an entry-level package,” Yachting previously reported.

The cockpit has a teak sole and includes a dinette and galley for alfresco dining. A Bimini top extends from the hardtop, providing shade when desired. The foredeck has a sun pad with cupholders, making it a great setup for sundowners with friends.

At the helm, there are three Stidd chairs, Simrad electronics suite, including depth sounder, GPs, chartplotter, radar and more.

Belowdecks, the owners’ forepeak stateroom has a double-sized berth. A separate head and shower are shared by all guests. The guest stateroom, located aft, has twin side-by-side berths.

Jeff Brown Yachts notes that No Worries is “Beautifully presented like new” with low hours and LLC ownership.

Grand Banks 43 Europa Peace
Powered by twin 480 hp Cummins 6.7L diesels paired to Zeus pod drives, Peace reaches a top speed of 25 knots. At 10.5 knots, range is 545 nautical miles. Courtesy Grand Banks

Grand Banks 43 Europa – Peace – Newport, Rhode Island

Peace, a 2014 Grand Banks 43 Europa, is a couple-size, Great Loop-ready cruiser with a top speed of 25 knots, two staterooms, two heads and is on the market with Grand Banks for $845,000.

“The Heritage series embodies that thoughtful process of innovation and features an iconic design that has been the mainstay of Grand Banks since 1973. Today there are four models: the 41 EU, 43 EU, 47 EU and 54 EU. When I stepped aboard the 43 EU, I knew instantly that I was on a Grand Banks because of her classic teak interior and evident craftsmanship. But once under way, I fully realized I was not on a Grand Banks of the past,” Yachting previously reported.

Powered by twin 480 hp Cummins 6.7L diesel engines with Zeus pod-drive propulsion system, Peace hits a top speed of 25 knots. During our sea trial, we saw a 10.4 gph fuel burn at 10.5 knots, which resulted in a 564-nautical-mile range with a 10 percent reserve on the yacht’s 600-gallon fuel capacity. The 43 Europa’s hull design from C. Raymond Hunt Associates has allowed engineers to add higher horsepower engines to increase top speeds with better fuel efficiency over previous hull designs.

Peace’s cockpit, which is partially shaded by the flybridge, is roomy and  comfortable with deck chairs laid out on a teak sole. Take a dive off the swim platform or just relax and enjoy the ocean breeze. With its seamless connection to the salon and galley, the cockpit is the perfect spot for guests to lounge and enjoy alfresco dining.

The flybridge has a Bimini top giving owners the option of sun or shade. There is an L-shaped settee with table to starboard and a portside bench-style settee. The aft deck currently supports a tender and davit, but when the tender is launched, the aft deck could be used for catching rays or relaxing with a bottle of wine while watching the sunset over the water. The helm station is on centerline with two seats.

Peace’s salon embodies the classic Grand Banks charm with warm teak joinery in all directions. Windows bathe the space with natural light and keep a connection with the surrounding seascape. The salon has an L-shaped settee with dining table to port and a sofa to starboard. The entertainment systems are integrated discreetly, ensuring the space remains uncluttered. Opening the sliding door to the cockpit creates an open-air environment that extends from the galley to the cockpit.

The galley is located forward of the salon and to port, and is adjacent to the lower helm station. The galley appliances include a two-burner cooktop, microwave, refrigerator and sink. Stowage is plentiful, with well-placed drawers and cabinets that optimize the available space.

The two-stateroom setup includes the master stateroom, located forward, with a queen island berth, flanked by stowage and hanging lockers. Overhead hatches and portlights provide ventilation and natural light, creating a bright and airy feel. The guest stateroom, configured with side-by-side twin berths, is equally well-appointed. Both staterooms are finished with the same rich teak joinery found throughout the yacht. The shared head features a separate shower stall, high-quality fixtures and thoughtful stowage solutions.

Where is Peace located? The yacht is currently lying in Newport, Rhode Island

2021 Tiara Yachts 43 LE – Natural Selection – Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Natural Selection, a 2021 Tiara Yachts 43 LE, has a two-stateroom, one-head layout and is currently listed by HMY Yacht Sales for $849,000.

The boat is powered by triple 450 hp Mercury 450R outboards with approximately 81 hours each. It has a reported top speed of 52 knots and cruises around 35 knots. A Seakeeper SK6 gyrostabilizer provides roll reduction, while Mercury’s joystick control assists with low-speed maneuvering.

“Swing the wheel hard over at cruise speed or while going full tilt, and the yacht’s 21-degree deep-V hull digs in and carves a turn half as wide as virtually any boat this size rigged with inboards and rudders. Dockside handling was above par with the joystick control; in fact, when we returned to a cramped and crowded marina to parallel park with maybe 3 or 4 feet of clearance fore and aft, docking was simply a matter of lining up next to the opening and then nudging the joystick sideways,” Yachting previously reported.

The cockpit includes a rotating lounge that locks into multiple positions and includes a footrest. A fold-down terrace expands the usable space and provides additional water access on the hook. A retractable sunshade, transom grill and removable high-gloss teak table support alfresco dining. There is an upgraded JL Audio system with Fusion head unit. Underwater lights enhance the ambiance when the sun goes down.

Forward, the bow has sun pads with integrated cupholders. Stainless-steel bow rails provide safe transit when accessing the foredeck.

Sliding glass doors connect the cockpit to the salon and galley. The salon is bright and open, thanks to large windows and high ceilings. Air conditioning, rotating helm chairs and sliding doors that open fully to the cockpit allow the salon to serve as a social hub. Galley features include a stainless-steel sink, microwave, Cognac wood-finished refrigerator/freezer drawers and multiple stowage compartments.

The helm electronics setup includes three 16-inch Garmin GPS displays, a Garmin 48-inch Fantom open-array radar, Mercury VesselView, Seakeeper control and an integrated sound-system interface. Opening side windows provide breezes when desired.

Belowdecks, the forward master stateroom includes a queen island berth with stowage below, reading lights, a hanging locker, privacy curtain and flat-screen TV. The second stateroom has a full-size berth and settee. The shared head has a teak shower stall with a glass door, sink and toilet.

Where is Natural Selection located? The yacht is currently lying in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

An L-shaped dinette is in the salon and there is a lounge opposite the helm. A sliding glass door and retractable sunroof enhance the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces here. Light-toned upholstery and mocha oak cabinetry create a bright, open vibe.

Surrounded by glass, the forward section not only makes for a good driving platform, but also offers exceptional views of the water. Headroom was 6 feet 9 inches to the top of the sunroof, making the open-plan salon feel even more spacious.
