In 2017, when Custom Line launched its third iteration of the Navetta 33, the builder created a layout that keeps the interior and exterior spaces connected.

The Navetta 33 can sleep up to 10 people with its on deck master suite and four staterooms belowdecks.

Standard powerplants for the 108-foot yacht are twin 1,400 hp MAN V-12s, which can deliver a top speed of 15 knots with a range of 1,500 to 1,900 nautical miles at cruise speed.

At press time, there were 13 Custom Line Navetta 33s available, from $4.4 million to $15.99 million.

Boats have always been important to Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. His oldest is a trailerable Rudy, notable for being one of the earliest fiberglass Riva models. Galassi’s father bought her in the mid-1970s, primarily so he could take the family water skiing. Today, Galassi keeps her with a big sister, a Riva Aquarama Super, on Italy’s Lago Iseo, the same lake on which Riva was established in 1842. Galassi also has an Itama 62, which he keeps at Capri, a jewel of an island between the Gulf of Naples and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The Galassis entered large-yacht ownership with a succession of Sanlorenzos, including a 2001 SL82, Telli Blu, and a 2005 SL88, Telli Too. The couple then migrated to the Ferretti Group. Their first Custom Line was the Navetta 33 Crescendo Telli’s in 2014. Throughout all ownership, they have retained the same captain, Marco Revello.

The 108-foot Custom Line Navetta 33, the Galassis’ newest delivery in 2017, evolved from two previous models with the same designation. Custom Line says her bulbous-bow, semidisplacement hull form is new, and the model is on track to be even more popular than its predecessors. Eight of the old Navetta 33 were built, and a dozen more of the Navetta 33 Crescendo followed; prior to the new yacht’s showing at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival, Custom Line had already sold six to owners all over the world. The first went to the Galassis in Italy, the second to a Lebanese owner, and the third is bound for an American who plans to keep her in Florida. Hull No. 4 is off to a Brazilian buyer, No. 5 to another European and No. 6 to Hong Kong.

Why does this design have such universal appeal? Take a look at her pale-cream profile. I challenge anyone to point to a better-balanced production trideck. She’s timeless, but not dainty. She’s solid and architectural, even. Credit for the exterior and general arrangement goes to Zuccon International Project in Rome, which has been responsible for every Custom Line launched. Bernardo Zuccon says one of his studio’s keywords is abitare, which translates to “live.”

“Boats are not objects,” he says. “They are spaces for people. Our job is to find better solutions for them. And the owners of Navettas tend to spend comparatively more time aboard their yachts, so livability is even more important.”

Custom Line Navetta 33
A three-piece, sliding-glass door opens to create an indoor-outdoor entertainment area. Courtesy Custom Line

One way the firm seeks to enrich life aboard is by connecting indoor and outdoor spaces. “Wherever possible,” Zuccon says, “we try to break down barriers, physically and visually.”

The new Navetta 33 delivers on that promise. Both the main deck aft and the upper deck aft feel like they have a gravitational pull from the indoor spaces. They lure you out and then onward to all the other open areas: the flybridge, the foredeck terrace (which I particularly loved with its Bimini top deployed for sun protection) and the dual-mode transom beach club, which simultaneously lifts the garage door while a platform submerges for tender launch and retrieval. Its lower section acts as a lift and swim platform too.

The rest of Telli’s general arrangement is conventional enough for a trideck of her proportions, but with more than the usual amount of natural light, fresh air and perception of volume. Lots of her windows actually open, which is unusual.

Custom Line Navetta 33
The Navetta 33’s top-deck hot tub has architectural styling that differs from the traditional, rounded tubs on most yachts. Courtesy Custom Line

The main deck has an open-plan lounge and dining area, a galley to port, and a lobby and day-head to starboard. The full-beam owners’ stateroom is forward. Up one level, the bridge occupies half the upper deck with a captain’s cabin and pantry, and the after part of the upper deck is all sky lounge. Belowdecks are four more staterooms for as many as nine guests: three transverse doubles and a twin-berth setup with a Pullman. Forward quarters can take four crew, who have a mess in addition to their cabins.

Custom Line interiors, done by the Ferretti Group’s in-house design team, are always oh-so-chic, and Telli’s is no exception. Warm walnut contrasts with cool, whiteoak soles. Stand-alone furniture is by Minotti and Paola Lenti, and delivers as much of a wow factor as it does a comfort quotient. Plus, Telli’s décor is especially vibrant. It includes striking contemporary art with an eclectic, attention-grabbing mix of vibrant paintings, sculptures and embroidery. The artists include Mimmo Paladino, Alighiero Boetti and Mimmo Rotella.

The builder says Telli is built for quiet cruising, with noise- and vibration suppression systems on board. Propulsion-wise, Telli has the Navetta 33’s standard twin 1,400 hp MAN V-12s, which are rated for 3,000 hours and can be specified with EPA Tier 3 approval. They deliver a top speed around 15 knots and a range of more than 1,500 nautical miles at a 12-knot cruise. That range is 1,900 nautical miles at a more relaxed 10 knots.

Custom Line Navetta 33

Navetta 33 owners also can choose twin 1,650 hp MAN V-12s, which are rated for 1,000 hours, or 1,622 hp Caterpillar C32s rated for 3,000 hours. The builder says the optional power plants bump up maximum speeds to 15 or 16 knots, respectively, but Navetta owners aren’t usually in that much of a hurry. All of the first six 33s sold have been ordered with the least-powerful MANs.

Telli also checks off the stabilizer box — twice. Not only does she sport a pair of ABT-Trac fin stabilizers, but she also has twin Seakeeper NG16 gryostabilizers. Galassi has long been a champion of the technology; at a press conference a couple of years ago, he declared that during the past decade, no other technology has had such a positive impact on motoryacht sales.

Following her launch this past June, Telli cruised from Ancona, on Italy’s east coast, around the nation’s boot heel and up to Cagliari on Sardinia before striking out for Ibiza in Spain’s Balearic Islands. That’s where the Ferretti Group staged its invitation-only Midsummer Dream showcase in late July. The Galassi family then enjoyed their new yacht during their annual two-week August vacation, cruising to Mallorca and Menorca in the Balearics before heading to the Côte d’Azur and St. Tropez. From there, it was off to the Cannes Yachting Festival in September for Hull No. 1’s world premiere.

Telli’s home port is La Spezia on Italy’s west coast, adding yet another yachting destination to the Galassis’ options for the coming summer.

Salon Setup

Some of the Navetta 33’s standard salon equipage includes overhead LEDs, a drawer-style refrigerator, electrically operated Roman blinds, and a home-theater system with Apple TV, Blu-ray DVD player, 55-inch LED Smart TV and iPad mini control system for the entertainment package.

Building Bigger

The Ferretti Group’s custom superyacht division, CRN, builds the Navetta 33. Its facility is in Ancona, a city of about 100,000 people on Italy’s Adriatic Coast, roughly 140 miles south-southeast of Venice. The site also builds the Navetta 33’s sisterships, the Navetta 28 and Navetta 37, plus the new-for-2018 Navetta 42. The yard turns out 10 to 12 Navetta hulls each year. Its biggest project was 2013’s 262-foot Chopi Chopi. CRN is also building the all-new, all-aluminium and biggest-ever Pershing (a 140-footer) along with the first steel-hulled Riva since the 1950s. At 164 feet, that yacht will also be the Riva brand’s biggest-ever project. In addition, look for CRN’s handiwork in the first Zuccon-designed, 164-foot, steel and aluminum Superconero, as well as two more fully custom projects (a 259-footer from Zuccon with a Laura Sessa interior, and a 203-footer done inside and out by Nuvolari-Lenard).

Well-Connected

Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group CEO, is a principal player within an industrial dynasty. His wife of 25-plus years, Antonella, is the only daughter of Piero Lardi Ferrari, the only living son of Enzo Ferrari, founder of the iconic sports-car builder and Formula 1 race team. Having spent virtually all his working life at Ferrari, Piero remains vice chairman today with a 10 percent stake estimated to be worth well over $1 billion. Now his family also holds a 13.2 percent stake in the Ferretti Group, which was on track for sales of around $705 million for the 2017 calendar year. More importantly, Galassi’s management team is putting profits back into product development. The Ferretti Group has created no fewer than 32 new models during the past four years for the Ferretti, Pershing, Riva and Custom Line brands.

When Custom Line launched its 106 in 2019 it made sure to have the yacht feel connected, both to the environment and every other section of the yacht. Yachting previously reported that according to the builder, the 106 has nearly 2,400 square feet of exterior sole surfaces, all interconnected. Allied Marine has Ciao M for sale for $10.99 million.

“The Custom Line 106 is one of the stars of the Custom Line planing range,” Custom Line Yachts says. “A new horizon in yachting excellence, with clean, crisp lines and palatial spaces of essential sophistication, she offers unsurpassable comfort for her owner.”

The Custom Line 106 is a planing yacht that was created in cooperation with designer Francesco Paszkowski. Interiors were developed with Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini.

“This stunning 2023 Custom Line 106 is a masterpiece of Italian design and engineering,” says Allied Marine. “With only 80 engine hours and never having been used, this yacht is in pristine, like-new condition. It offers unparalleled luxury, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional performance, making it the ultimate choice for discerning yacht owners.

Custom Line constructed the 106 for bluewater cruising with a combination of sandwich and single skin GRP laminate. The builder used a mat, unidirectional, biaxial E-glass carbon fibers and closed-cell foam cores for the sandwich.

The main deck interior is filled with natural light from the sole-to-ceiling windows in the salon. The main deck galley is past the salon dining table and through the forward bulkhead to port. The galley features an array of Bosch appliances including:

  • Electric glass/ceramic five-burner cooking top
  • Oven
  • Dishwasher
  • Side-by-side refrigerator

Accommodations onboard the 106 include an on deck master suite and four guest staterooms belowdecks, sleeping up to 10 people. It’s worth noting the three crew cabins can sleep up to five crew.

Outdoor entertainment spaces onboard are as impressive as they are voluminous. Take the foredeck, for example. A Portuguese bridge wraps around to a three-tiered space with a lounge area with settees on top, lounge pads down a few steps and open deck all the way forward.

According to Custom line, the optional twin low-hour (80) 2,000 hp MTU 16v M96L diesels should give Ciao M a 22-knot cruise speed and a 26-knot top hop.

Some other notable features on board Ciao M include:

  • Four vertical MFD 16-inch touch displays
  • Two horizontal MFD 16-inch touch displays
  • Autopilot
  • Two VHF radios (class D DSC)
  • Magnetic compass with fluxgate overhead
  • Autopilot, complete with gyro compass
  • Echo-sounder with LCD color display
  • Multifunctional transducer (depth, speed, temperature)
  • Bosch washer and dryer

Where is Ciao M located? The yacht is currently lying in Miami, Florida.

Custom Line Navetta 38 Telli
Cut-down bulwarks ensure unobstructed ocean views from the Navetta 38’s salon. Maurizio Paradisi

Custom Line’s Navetta 38 had a tough act to follow. Its predecessor, the Navetta 37, sold 14 hulls between 2016 and 2022. The first Navetta 38, Telli, made its official international debut at September’s Cannes and Monaco yacht shows, with a gray hull, white superstructure and black shadowing that announced the yacht’s presence as worthy of notice.

The Navetta 38 is 127 feet, 2 inches length overall, compared to its predecessor’s 121 feet, 6 inches—but with the same 26-foot-3-inch beam. The Navetta 38 weighs in at 299 gross tons, or 10 more than the Navetta 37.

Custom Line Navetta 38 Telli
The Custom Line Navetta 38’s design thoughtfully blends function and style inside and outside. Maurizio Paradisi

In-house naval architecture is much the same, but the Navetta 38’s profile comes from Filippo Salvetti’s studio. It elevates the styling on the 37 with crisper, cleaner lines. Outside spaces are broadly similar, but the 38 has fold-down platforms aft that nearly double the size of the area, which spans around 750 square feet. Combined with the cockpit and its glazed balustrade—and steps on each side that connect the tiers—the whole stern is an entertainment zone by day or night.

There’s also the upper deck aft off the sky lounge, which Telli’s owner configured for formal dining. It is connected via a starboard side deck to the forward terrace, with seating and loungers. There’s even more space on the sun deck above. It has partial protection from an arched hardtop. Aboard Telli, there’s a wet bar amidships, loungers forward and a hot tub aft, although that top deck space is a blank canvas for owners’ interpretations.

Light plays an important role aboard any yacht, and this Custom Line Navetta 38 is no different. The open-plan main salon and sky lounge include full-height picture windows and have bulwarks rebated to deck level to maximize the views.

Custom Line Navetta 38 Telli
The yacht’s five-stateroom layout includes an on-deck owners’ suite and four en suite guest staterooms. Maurizio Paradisi

Interior schemes come from Studio ACPV, aka Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, working closely with the Custom Line Atelier team. The Navetta 38’s options provide a calm, soothing and contemporary vibe. Freestanding furniture mostly comes from B&B Italia and Maxalto. Walls are lined with Japanese paper-weave cloth from Phillip Jeffries, while soles, handrails and headboards are a rich blend of leathers. The enticing leather aroma is omnipresent.

The owners’ stateroom is forward on the main deck, which also includes one of the two day heads, along with the galley and a pantry. Entering the owners’ stateroom feels fantastic, with a long run of picture windows and a 16-foot-long lounge that’s as inviting as the views. Inboard are two walk-in closets. The sleeping area has a forward-facing super-king berth on centerline and a pair of en suites forward that share a glass shower.

Guest accommodations on the lower deck include four en suite staterooms, all accessed from a companionway that runs across the yacht instead of being on centerline. All have great windows and marble in the heads. The two VIPs have outboard-facing king berths.

Quarters for seven crew in three cabins are forward on the lower deck. An en suite captain’s cabin is on the bridge deck, where the helm has vertical windows and doors, a leaning post and a sofa. The console is an I-Bridge from Team Italia Marine with Simrad electronics.

In terms of performance, straight-shaft thrust comes from twin 1,400 hp V-12 MANs and ZF boxes, which deliver a semi-displacement top speed of 15 to 16 knots, depending on load and weather. Telli is reportedly quiet underway, and the quoted range at an eco-cruise speed of 10 knots is a whopping 2,800 nautical miles. Custom Line also says a hybrid version will soon be available for owners with greener tastes.

If history is any indicator of upcoming success, the Custom Line Navetta 38’s future looks bright.

Behind the Build

There are four composite semi-displacement Custom Line Navettas: a 30, 33, 38 and 42. There also are three planing composite models: a CL106, CL120 and CL140. All of them, as well as the aluminum Custom Line Navetta 50, are built at the Ferretti Group’s Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy. As of this writing, the yard had 26 composite Custom Lines in various stages of construction, along with 10 metal projects from 140 to 280 feet in length. The latter includes the biggest Pershings, Custom Lines and Rivas, and four custom CRN mega-yachts.

Owner-Builders

Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi is one of his own best customers. The first Custom Line 38, Telli, was built for him and his wife, Antonella. So was their previous yacht of the same name, the first new-shape Navetta 33 in 2017. Before that was the older-style Navetta 33 Crescendo in 2014, along with various other boats from different Ferretti Group brands. Antonella’s father, Piero Ferrari, heads up the group’s Strategic Product Development team and sits on its board as a minority shareholder. Piero is also the second and only surviving son of Enzo Ferrari and retains a 10 percent stake of the automotive business.

Festival Spirit

Every guest stateroom on Telli has framed color photos from the Isle of Wight Festival 1970, an “English Woodstock.” They were taken by Italian artist Franco Vaccari, and are unusual for featuring fans rather than performers and event lows rather than highs. They’re cool to those of us old enough to remember flower power.

Double Up is a 2023 Custom Line Navetta 33 with a range of 1,800-plus nm that is currently listed with Allied Marine for $15.995 million. Courtesy Allied Marine

The Custom Line Navetta 33, Double Up, is currently listed with Allied Marine for $15.995 million. The 108-foot Tri-deck motoryacht has had more than $1 million invested into it since its delivery to the current owners in December 2023.

“Double Up stands as the final and finest example of her kind to ever grace the Western Hemisphere,” says Allied Marine. “Having just completed her annual haul-out and bottom service, this exceptional 33M Custom Line is in impeccable condition.”

“The Custom Line Navetta 33 is a collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee, which handled exterior styling, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, which created the interiors,” Yachting previously reported. “Strategic interior design consulting was provided by the Custom Line Atelier.”

This Navetta 33 has charter potential with an on-deck master stateroom, Dual Mode Transom system that enhances fun on the water and myriad lounging locations inside and outside.

The salon’s waist-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light. Two athwartships sofas sit to port with a coffee table and lounge chair in between. A flat-screen TV pops out of the entertainment center to starboard if any guests need to catch the big game. Sliding glass doors to starboard lead to a fold-out terrace.

Past the forward bulkhead, the galley has an array of appliances for preparing simple or formal meals, including a five-burner electric glass/ceramic  cooktop, an oven, a hood, a dishwasher, a freezer, a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and a trash compactor.

Accommodations on this 108-footer include the aforementioned on-deck owners’ stateroom and four well-appointed guest staterooms belowdecks, sleeping up to 10 people. The crew quarters include four cabins accommodating up to six crew.

The bridge-deck interior is split into three sections. Aft, the skylounge is essentially a second salon. Seating includes an aft-facing, L-shaped sofa to starboard and a Lawson-style lounge chair. Amidships, the captain’s cabin is between the skylounge and the pilothouse forward. With the aft sliding glass doors open, the skylounge and bridge deck aft become a connected entertainment space. The bridge deck aft also has an alfresco dining setup.

The cockpit on Double Up is set up for casual lounging with an oversized transom sofa, a coffee table and some loose chairs.

This yacht’s sun deck is split into three distinct social areas. The after section is for catching rays with a few chaise lounge chairs. Amidships, a four-stool bar and grilling station is to port and a sofa is to starboard, both shaded by the hardtop. Forward, a whirlpool spa sits on the centerline with lounge pads flanking it.

The foredeck also has three separate lounging areas, albeit on a smaller scale. A U-shaped dinette sits abaft a three- to five-person sun pad. Forward, a bow-rider lounge pad offers additional seating.

Twin 1,400 hp MAN V12s power Double Up, which allow the Tri-deck motoryacht to jog at 15 knots. Cruising at 12 knots, gives the Navetta 33 a reported range of 1,200 nautical miles. At10 knots, range increases to 1,850 nm. It’s worth noting the engines have just 295 hours on them.

Some notable features on board Double Up include:

  • Two 44 kW Kohler generators
  • Washer and dryer

  • Echosounder
  • Wind station
  • Multifunctional transducer (depth, speed, temperature)

The charter team at IYC has just welcomed not one, but two Custom Line yachts into the fleet for bookings this summer in the East Mediterranean.

First up is the 93-foot Custom Line At One. This is a brand-new build that was just delivered to its owners for 2024. The yacht has a bunch of modern bells and whistles—including high-speed Internet connectivity via Starlink, and dual stabilizers with a gyro and fins for added guest comfort at anchor and underway.

Accommodations aboard At One are for 10 guests in five staterooms. Those guests will have access to a bevy of tenders and toys, including a nearly 12-foot Highfield tender, a pair of Seabobs, standup paddleboards, a Hobie Eclipse, water skis, wakeboards and snorkeling gear.

Inquiries for bookings aboard At One are being accepted this summer in Greece, where the yacht is expected to remain at least through the end of September. Bookings are also being taken now for the 2025 summer season in Greece.

Custom Line Daloli
Also new to the IYC fleet is the 108-foot Custom Line Daloli, which accommodates as many as nine guests in five staterooms, including a master on the main deck. Courtesy IYC

Also new to the IYC fleet is the 108-foot Custom Line Daloli. This is a 2011 build that most recently was refitted in 2022, and that is also accepting inquiries for Greece yacht charter this summer.

Daloli accommodates as many as nine guests in five staterooms, including a master on the main deck.

Onboard amenities include an outdoor hot tub and barbecue. The yacht has stabilizers for added guest comfort, and it charters with a crew of seven that has spent many years together as a team.

Tenders and toys for guests to use during a charter aboard Daloli include a 26-foot ZAR tender, a 13-foot Grand tender, a Sea-Doo, a trio of Seabobs, water skis for adults and children, wakeboards, a water slide, standup paddleboards and fishing gear. An unusual offering from the yacht’s toybox is a pair of canoes for guests who want to paddle around quiet anchorages.

Greece Yacht Charter Options: The Greek Isles are some of the world’s most popular cruising grounds during the summer season. There are numerous archipelagos to explore, whether a charter booking is for a week or a month. Many of the islands have ancient ruins along with local tavernas and beaches. Land-and-sea itineraries can also be fun in this part of the world, with Athens on the mainland filled with landmarks from ancient Greek civilization.

Five notable yachts just became available for charter in the West Mediterranean, with plenty of time left to book itineraries before the current season is over.

First up is Zazou, a 213-foot Benetti that launched in 2021. It’s new to the charter fleet at Y.CO, with plans to base in the South of France and Corsica. This is the first time that Zazou is being opened for charters, with availability beginning mid-August.

“Ideal for families, she is elegant and sophisticated thanks to her stunning interior,” Sioned Williams of Y.CO Charter Management stated in a press release. Notable features include a gymnasium, treatment room, outdoor cinema and beach club. Accommodations are for 10 guests in five staterooms.

Dyna, a 2024 B.Now 50m Oasis model, has a main-deck pool, a cinema, a spa and a master stateroom with a private balcony. It accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms. It’s available for September and October charters in the West Mediterranean. Courtesy Y.CO

Y.CO also just welcomed the new-for-2024 Benetti Dyna to the charter fleet in the Mediterranean. Dates are available in September and October.

Accommodations aboard Dyna are for 12 guests in six staterooms. Amenities include a main-deck pool, a cinema, a spa and a master stateroom with a private balcony.

Dyna is a particularly fine example of the B.Now 50m Oasis model,” Yasmine Naitijja of Y.CO Charter Management stated in a press release. “No expense has been spared in the finishes throughout. The spa area is a real onboard highlight, as is the large main-deck pool, while the stylish Novamarine Black Shiver chase boat offers enhanced exploration.”

Azimut Magellano 30

Also now available in the West Mediterranean is Alma III, a 97-foot Azimut that was just delivered to the owners from the shipyard in June. It’s part of the Fraser charter fleet and will have availability in August from Sardinia.

According to the Fraser team, Alma III is the only Azimut Magellano 30 currently on the charter market. Exterior design is by Ken Freivokh, and accommodations are for 10 guests in five staterooms. The master is full beam on the main deck.

82-foot Maiora El Pecado
The 82-foot Maiora El Pecado, in IYC’s Greek fleet, accommodates nine guests in four staterooms and has at-anchor stabilizers. Courtesy IYC

In the IYC charter fleet in Greece, guests can book the 82-foot Maiora El Pecado, which became available earlier this summer. The yacht is a 2014 build that IYC’s team says is in “impeccable condition” with accommodations for as many as nine guests in four staterooms.

Notable features and equipment on El Pecado include low fuel consumption and at-anchor stabilizers for guest comfort.

107-foot Custom Line
My Mistake, a 107-foot Custom Line yacht, is child-friendly, accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms and has a reported top speed of 26 knots. Courtesy IYC

Also in Greece with IYC is the 107-foot Custom Line My Mistake, a 2023 build that accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms. The IYC team notes that this yacht has a child-friendly setup, meaning it is a good choice for bookings with families.

Top speed aboard My Mistake is reportedly 26 knots, which should make short work of cruising between the Greek Isles while leaving more time for fun at anchor and in harbors.

When does the Mediterranean yacht-charter season end? The high season is over at the end of August, but with nice weather, the cruising in some parts of the region can be terrific well into October.

Custom Line, which is part of the Ferretti Group in Italy, has launched its new flagship: the first all-aluminum Custom Line 50.

The yacht was launched at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona. Its name is Asante, and it comes in at less than 500 gross tons.

“A 50-meter dream. This is the new Custom Line 50, confirming the brand’s state of grace at both design and production level,” Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi stated in a press release. “Cutting-edge research and innovation, in terms of both style and materials, comes together in the use of aluminum, which also offers significant performance and fuel consumption benefits.”

He added: “The new flagship, which opens up a new market segment for Custom Line, is a vessel bathed in light and water, born out of extraordinarily in-depth and effective studies into the yacht’s volumes and spaces.”

Beam on the Custom Line 50 is 31 feet, 6 inches, allowing for sizable guest spaces in the interior. The overall design is a collaboration between the Product Strategy Department led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Superyachts Division Engineering team.

Exterior styling is by Filippo Salvetti, while ACPV Architects’ Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel designed the custom interiors. Custom Line’s team says that the brokerage house Performance Boats USA, LLC also played a key role as the owner’s representative on the project.

Asante has four decks. The master stateroom is located on the upper deck with sole-to-ceiling windows that allow for 180-degree views of the surroundings. This stateroom also has direct access to a private terrace in the bow with a lounge area and a sunpad.

Four VIP staterooms are located belowdecks, allowing the yacht to accommodate a total of 12 guests. There are separate quarters for nine crew, with the captain’s cabin located next to the wheelhouse.

The main deck, like the upper deck, has sole-to-ceiling windows to immerse guests in the surrounding marine environment. The yacht also has a water’s edge beach club with direct access to the outdoor area that’s aft on the main deck and fitted out as a private lounge. These two exterior spaces are integrated by a rectangular pool in the stern.

When is the Custom Line 50 Asante expected to make its world debut? At the Monaco Yacht Show later this year. That boat show is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 28.

Custom Line, a Ferretti Group brand, announced the Custom Line 140’, a sporty superyacht inspired by residential architecture.

The vessel “is defined by a harmonious blend of contemporary style and innovative engineering enhanced by Italian design excellence,” a news release said. It was launched on March 21 at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy.

The yacht is the result of a collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee, which handled the exterior design, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, which crafted the interior and worked to create the style wanted by the owner.

The Custom Line 140’ measures nearly 140 feet in length and has a maximum beam of 28 feet. It boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, which provides natural light and a mesmerizing view of the ocean.

The yacht has natural materials, such as Travertino marble and Breccia Capraia stone, European oakwood, natural teak and Libeccio leather, the release said. The predominant colors are milk white and cream with shades of burgundy and bronze.

“When I first saw the Custom Line 108 Ferretti yacht resting along the quay in Cannes, France, I was struck by her shadow-inducing size juxtaposed with what was a relatively low profile, enhanced by glass. Lots of it,” Yachting previously reported.

“Glass is used extensively on the Custom Line 108 to help connect those on board the Ferretti yacht with the salt of the ocean. For instance, the high-impact-resistant, rectangular hullside ocean-view windows in the four VIP cabins measure about 18 square feet apiece. The main-deck master’s windows have a curious eyebrow look, also providing stunning saltwater vistas. After giving her a good look from the dock, I walked across the passerelle onto a deck of warm, welcoming teak. A bevy of international journalists were mingling, marveling, pointing and staring wide-eyed.”

Hull No. 3 of the Custom Line 108 is called Alandrea and is for sale with Allied Marine with an asking price of $8.2 million. Alandrea is a 2016 build with a five-stateroom layout, a hydraulic fold-out terrace and a beach club.

One of this stylish motor yacht’s highlights is its outdoor spaces. The patented dual-mode hydraulic transom door folds down to create a dance-floor-sized teak beach club. Add a few chaise-style chairs, an umbrella and spend the day enjoying the water toys. It’s worth noting the vessel’s tenders are not included with the sale.

Alfresco dining can be found in multiple locations onboard Alandrea, including the cockpit, the flybridge and the foredeck. The cockpit has a folding fixed table and loose chairs for up to eight guests, which is forward of the three-person, adjustable sun pad. The side deck to starboard has a hydraulic fold-out terrace, creating a great spot for a private meal for two with views.

The foredeck has two L-shaped settees and fixed tables facing each other set around a teak walkway on centerline. Its raised position makes it the go-to place to grab lunch and take in the water or do sundowners on the hook with friends. Additionally, there are sun pads abaft the tables to port and starboard to catch some rays.

Sizable entertainment spaces continue on the flybridge where the current owner has five chaise lounge chairs in the after section, abaft the hot tub. An aft-facing, L-shaped settee is forward of the hot tub. The forward half of the flybridge is covered by a hardtop with a sunroof, in case the captain wants to dial up the sunlight. When it’s time to dine, there is a U-shaped settee and fixed table with two chairs to port, while to starboard is a two-person bar.

The upper helm station is forward and to port with additional bench seating to starboard. A sliding glass door splits the seating leading down to the raised pilothouse and lower helm station.

“An abundance of light, both natural and LED, enhances the volume of the salon, while the bleached-oak sole seems to lengthen it…” Yachting previously reported. “The area is built for cocktails, with a conversation-encouraging, light-fabric, C-shaped settee opposing a large sliding door that leads to the starboard-side foldout teak-deck terrace.”

Alandrea’s salon shares these same features and has a formal dining space forward with room for eight guests.

The well-appointed galley is forward of the salon’s formal dining, just take either of the walkways flanking the forward bulkhead. The day head is to starboard. Galley appliances include:

  • “Side by side” fridge-freezer
  • Ceramic electric-ring cooktop with pan holders
  • Dishwasher
  • Electric oven
  • Freezer 98 liters
  • Fridge 141 liters
  • Commercial ice maker
  • Garbage compactor
  • Microwave oven
  • Quartz resin countertop
  • Two stainless-steel sinks with fresh water

There are sleeping accommodations for up to 12 guests and five crew on Alandrea. The full-beam (23’9″) on-deck master stateroom has a king berth, a 55-inch flat-screen TV, stowage, bookshelves and en suite head. The two amidships VIP staterooms split the centerline with athwartships double berths and en suite heads. Forward the two guest staterooms have twin single berths, a third Pullman berth and en suite heads. Yachting previously noted that all four staterooms belowdecks are “finished to the same level as the master.” There are three-cabin crew quarters with a single berth captain’s cabin and two crew cabins with bunk berths.
