Australian boatbuilder Maritimo is well-known for crafting rugged, long-range vessels. Its boats are built to tackle the demanding waters of the land Down Under, where sheltered harbors are few and the seas can be unforgiving.

It’s a hard-won reputation earned over more than 22 years. Maritimo’s latest release—the M600 Offshore Flybridge Motor Yacht—made its US debut at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show. Fans of the brand lined the docks for a firsthand look, and they were not disappointed.

Maritimo M600
Easily accessible via wide walkways with full rails, the M600’s forward lounge is configured with an oversize double sun pad and a couch. The seating here is for as many as six people while underway or at anchor. Courtesy Maritimo

Like every Maritimo, the M600 is engineered for adventure, emphasizing a robust design and extended cruising capabilities. True to the builder’s “keep it simple” philosophy, the yacht is powered by twin 800 hp Volvo Penta D13 engines with straight shafts positioned at an efficient 8-degree angle, minimizing draft to less than 5 feet and increasing options to explore remote anchorages. Performance-minded owners can opt for upgraded 1,000 hp D13s.

The M600 is also designed for extended cruising, with 1,200 gallons of fuel distributed across three tanks—a 607-gallon centerline tank and two wing tanks—strategically placed to lower the vessel’s center of gravity and further enhance stability. In another nod to simplicity, refueling all three takes place from a single fill point located on each side of the vessel.

Maritimo M600
The enclosed flybridge has climate control for long-range cruising comfort. There’s also room for large multifunction displays and side-by-side seating for two people. Courtesy Maritimo

Abaft the climate-controlled enclosed bridge, the flybridge deck provides more than 118 square feet of protected outdoor space, with an aft station and a retractable rear awning. Optional clear inserts can convert this area into a hybrid indoor-outdoor space. It’s equipped with a sink, grill and top-loading refrigeration, along with seating for family and friends to chat with the cook until lunch is ready.

The M600’s three-stateroom, two-head layout maximizes the interior space within the 17-foot-2-inch beam. Forward is an offset queen stateroom with an adjoining en suite. The offset berth arrangement provides greater practicality for guests to walk around the berth without navigating steps. To starboard, a twin-berth stateroom offers flexibility, with the option for the inner bed to slide outboard, forming a double. Amidships, the full-beam, king-berth master stateroom showcases the brand’s signature panoramic hullside windows.

“We’re thrilled to introduce the M600 to the North American market,” says Keith Teynor, Maritimo’s managing partner for the Americas. “It embodies everything that makes a Maritimo special: exceptional accommodations, fit-and-finish, volume and seakeeping ability. For many owners, it marks the beginning of an incredible journey, and we’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.”

Maritimo M600
A defining feature of the M600 is its aft deck. Whether used for fishing, diving, entertaining or watersports, this spot epitomizes Maritimo’s brand ethos of fun on the water. Courtesy Maritimo

For those who are drawn to adventures that lay far beyond the conventional cruising grounds, the Maritimo M600 Offshore Flybridge Motor Yacht is well worth a closer look.

Introducing the Invincible 36 Catamaran https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/yachts/new-yachts-invincible-36-catamaran/ Tue, 03 Jun 2025 19:00:00 +0000 https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/?p=70111 This fast and fishy 36-foot power cat from Invincible Boats is designed to run at high speeds, even in rough weather.

Founded in 2006, Invincible Boats made an immediate impact with its line of highly fishable center-console monohulls. In a competitive market, they stood out through a combination of craftsmanship, innovation and attention to detail. When Invincible entered the catamaran segment, the builder teamed up with multihull experts Morrelli & Melvin. Using computational fluid dynamics, the design team developed a hybrid semi-asymmetrical hull that delivered solid speed as well as good handling and seakeeping, even in windy, choppy seas. By applying its monohull fishing expertise to the new catamarans, Invincible quickly earned recognition in the international sport-fishing community.

At the 2025 Miami International Boat Show, the Florida-based builder unveiled its latest model: the 36-foot Catamaran. It joins a multihull lineup ranging from 33 to 46 feet length overall. The 36 offers a quad-engine configuration and a 606-gallon standard fuel capacity, delivering a range of more than 500 nautical miles at cruising speeds—all while maintaining a single-level deck and 360-degree fishability.

While catamarans are an inherently stable design, the 36 has a raised chine and aggressive hull lines to deflect spray, helping ensure a drier ride. The builder also uses proprietary wave-arrester technology for a more comfortable ride without bottoming out or thumping in rough weather.

Designed for speed, the 36 Catamaran can also offer anglers a crucial edge in the highly competitive big-game tournament circuit. With standard quad 300 hp V-8 Mercury outboards (other engine options are available), the 36 has a top hop of just under 60 knots. At a typical cruising speed of 33 knots, it burns less than a gallon per mile, further proof of the catamaran’s efficient hull design.

Fishing amenities abound, including in-deck fish boxes, in-deck and transom livewells, built-in rod stowage and more. Options are also available for various towers, outriggers, seating, tackle stations and sea-chest setups. The hulls are 100 percent vinylester resin with vacuum-bagged composite core construction. Invincibles are also backed by a 12-year transferable hull warranty.

“The 36 Catamaran exemplifies our obsession with every detail,” says Thomas Wieners, president of Invincible Boats. “From its expanded fishing space to its refined engineering, this vessel empowers our customers to pursue their passion with absolute comfort, whether running 100 miles offshore, navigating challenging seas or just cruising your home waters with family and friends.”

The Galeon Yachts 480 Fly’s increased main-deck space and sun-filled interior are two key traits at the heart of its design. The 47-foot flybridge cruiser was introduced at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show as the latest model in the builder’s flybridge series of eight models from 38 feet to 83 feet length overall. Naval architect Tony Castro helped pen the 480 Fly’s design.

The main-deck interior combines light upholstery and an array of windows to make the space feel large and bright. The galley is positioned aft, letting the host entertain guests in multiple parts of the yacht at once. Some options regarding the interior color palette include dark walnut or beechwood with a matte finish. Salon lounge seating is amidships with a bench seat to starboard, abaft the lower helm station, and a U-shaped settee and dining table to port.

Belowdecks, Galeon managed to fit a three-stateroom, two-head layout on this sub-50-foot cruiser. Amidships, the full-beam master stateroom has the en suite head forward to port with a built-in settee and stowage to starboard. The forepeak VIP stateroom has a centerline queen berth and an en suite head, while the third guest stateroom is to starboard with over-under berths. The oversize windows in the staterooms are a nice touch, filling the spaces with natural light.

On the flybridge, the captain has a view through the reverse-raked windshield that cuts the wind as well as reduces glare and reflections off the water. The upper helm station is forward and to starboard with a bench seat for two people, while a U-shaped dinette is directly to port. Aft is an L-shaped settee for additional lounge seating. Abaft the upper helm station is a wet bar for libations and lunch.

Exterior entertainment spaces continue on the flybridge. The U-shaped settee on this deck can seat six people with broad views of the surroundings.

The 480 Fly can be ordered with twin 600 hp Volvo Penta D8 diesels and a V-drive transmission. This combination will push the vessel to a reported 29-knot top hop and a cruise speed of 24 knots, plenty fast to get the whole family feeling the wind in their hair.

Additional options for the Galeon 480 Fly include a Seakeeper gyrostabilizer, a hydraulic swim platform, an electric grill on the main deck aft and a stern thruster.

With its 480 Fly, Galeon Yachts has created a notable owner-operator cruising craft with multiple outdoor lounge areas, accommodations for the growing boating family, and the kind of power that makes a decent amount of exploring possible during a long weekend voyage. This midsize flybridge cruiser should prove a capable entertaining platform for friends too.

Change of Scene

On the main deck, two spaces can become one with the sliding glass doors open aft. The galley and cockpit merge, facilitating an indoor-outdoor dining and entertaining experience.

More Deck on Demand

Galeon enhanced the cockpit space with foldout terraces on both sides, a feature the builder calls Beach Mode. It creates more room for watersports and sunbathing when the yacht is at anchor.

Getting Social

The Galeon 480 Fly has a trifecta of exterior areas for guests to maximize alfresco activities, including the flybridge, cockpit and foredeck.

For the Onboard Chef

The galley is on the main deck, positioned for entertaining guests with amenities that include a Corian countertop, a two-burner cooktop, a microwave, a refrigerator, a sink, and stowage for serving trays and more.

Coastal cruising is an option in most places thanks to the 780’s 6-foot-3-inch draft. Courtesy Outer Reef Yachts

When most boaters think of Outer Reef Yachts, they think of traits such as long range, bluewater capability and an FRP hull. Now the Florida-based builder is expanding into the fast-displacement explorer-yacht sector with its 780 Adventure, a steel-hulled 78-foot yacht that will be constructed in a yard in the Netherlands that Outer Reef acquired in a recent merger with Lynx Yachts.

This flagship of the Adventure Series is being built to cruise the most remote destinations. Hull No. 1 is expected to debut at yacht shows this year. Outer Reef CEO Jeff Druek says the 780 Adventure is a direct response to increasing demand for explorer yachts: “We’ve seen a growing interest in adventure yachting, particularly among a younger generation of cruisers eager to explore remote and extraordinary destinations. Outer Reef owners have already embarked on remarkable journeys to places like Alaska, the Great Barrier Reef, the Galapagos Islands, Patagonia, Greenland, Iceland and multiple passages around Cape Horn, the southernmost tip of Tierra del Fuego in Chile. This shift highlights a desire for unique, transformative experiences, and Outer Reef is committed to leading the way in these exciting new developments.”

This yacht also represents a significant design departure for Outer Reef, which aims to appeal to those younger buyers. A modern touch on the interior is the volume-enhancing windows that create a bold first impression. Out on deck, the foredeck can stow a RIB and water toys, giving energetic cruising families plenty of options for playtime on the hook. The main deck aft is set up for entertainment and relaxation, with two L-shaped settees flanking the space forward and a transom settee aft. The flybridge is dedicated to entertaining. (The 780’s only helm station is on the main deck.) This flybridge setup allows for a lounge pad aft beyond the hardtop, alfresco dining amidships, and multiple lounge areas forward.

According to the builder, the combination of a fast-displacement steel hull and optional Cat C32 diesels gives the 780 Adventure an estimated 18-knot top speed, while the standard twin 425 hp Cummins diesels should deliver a nearly 3,200-nautical-mile range cruising at 7 knots. The 780 is also equipped with fin stabilizers that have zero-speed functionality for added stability underway and at anchor.

The main-deck interior has the salon lounge area aft, with L-shaped sofas to port and starboard. A high-low table to port offers an interior dining spot. The main-deck galley and pilothouse are past the forward bulkhead.

For owners looking to combine modern aesthetics and creature comforts with the ability to throw a pin at a chart and go, the Outer Reef Yachts 780 Adventure provides the best of both worlds.

Your Way

Thanks to a high level of maneuverability and docking technology, the 780 Adventure is owner-operator-friendly, but also has space for a small crew in case owners want to enjoy a little more relaxation while cruising.

Belowdecks

The 780 Adventure is designed with flexibility in mind. Accommodations can vary depending on what an owner needs for different cruising plans with family and friends. The builder offers the model in a four-or five-stateroom layout.

Flex Space

While most of the outdoor space on the 780 Adventure is dedicated to entertaining, the foredeck is set up for a RIB tender and PWC stowage. Owners can also opt for seating.

It’s fair to say that yacht building has become dream building for most owners. The question nowadays is: What’s the next adventure?

Maritimo has a good answer with its flagship motoryacht, the M75: Whatever owners want it to be.

This enclosed-bridge motoryacht is an offshore long-distance cruiser with well-appointed amenities throughout.

Maritimo M75

“The size and volume of the M75 will obviously impress,” Keith Teynor, managing director for Maritimo Americas, stated in a press release. “However, it’s the thought and fit-and-finish that are setting the M75 apart from the market.”

Like all Maritimos, the M75 is built for the tumultuous waters off the Australian coast. To ensure a solid ride, the M75 sports a variable-deadrise hull form with a deep keel and sharp entry. A flattened hull progression aft helps to deliver comfort, performance and stability.

The defining design element on all of the M-series yachts is the enclosed flybridge. Maritimo enhances the sky lounge by creating two distinct social spaces. Forward, the two-seat helm station is to starboard with a U-shaped settee adjacent to port. A second U-shaped settee is abaft the helm station with an entertainment center to port. An electric sunroof provides natural ventilation when the air conditioning is off or the weather is perfect.

Amidships, the full-beam master stateroom is flanked with hullside windows that help fill the room with natural light. The master has a centerline king berth, a variety of stowage options, an en suite head and a flat-screen TV. Courtesy Maritimo Americas

The open after section of the flybridge is shaded by an awning and has exterior lounge seating with an L-shaped settee to starboard and a three-stool bar to port.

On the main deck aft, more guest space awaits. The cockpit and an area the builder calls the Adventure Deck combine to create a versatile lounge space with a grilling station and stowage.

For exterior relaxation and entertainment spaces on board the Maritimo M75, owners and guests have their choice of the foredeck sun pad, Adventure Deck, cockpit and bridge deck aft. Courtesy Maritimo Americas

By moving the lone helm station to the sky lounge, Maritimo could dedicate the main deck of the M75 to entertainment and lounging as well. The galley-aft layout allows owners to entertain guests in the salon, in the cockpit and on the Adventure Deck. Interior stairs access the sky lounge. The salon has a U-shaped settee to starboard, while an L-shaped dinette is to port.

Belowdecks, accommodations for overnight cruising include four staterooms and three heads, allowing for a total of eight people. The master stateroom is amidships with a centerline king berth, while the VIP stateroom is forward in the bow with an athwartships queen berth. The two guest staterooms each have twin berths.

Maritimo M75
According to Maritimo, the M75 represents nearly 120,000 hours of research and development. The flagship model showcases the builder’s design evolution. Courtesy Maritimo Americas

Engine options for the M75 include the standard 1,150 hp Scania Di16 diesels or optional MTU diesels that range from 1,380 hp to 1,625 hp.

Maritimo’s M75 is a flagship that evolves from traditional design to highlight form, function and serious fun on the water. For yacht owners with adventurous cruising dreams, it’s a real winner.

Introducing the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/yachts/new-yachts-greenline-58-fly-hybrid/ Wed, 26 Feb 2025 20:00:00 +0000 https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/?p=68623 Greenline Yachts combines luxury and low-emission cruising with the 58 Fly Hybrid. Top speed is 26 to 29 knots.

With the introduction of this flagship model, the 58 Fly Hybrid, Greenline Yachts also introduced its 6G Hybrid Drive system. The builder says this is its most efficient hybrid system to date, with a 40 percent decrease in emissions compared to standard diesel engines.

“Our unique approach to responsible yachting gives owners the option of speed when it matters and optimum efficiency over shorter distances,” owner and CEO Vladimir Zinchenko stated in a press release. “The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid exemplifies the concept, but it’s also found across all our yachts.”

Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid
This yacht’s foredeck is set up for lounging and the go-to spot for some quiet time on the hook. Courtesy Greenline Yachts

There are five diesel engine options for the 58 Fly Hybrid, ranging from a combined 1,460 hp up to 2,000 hp. Depending on the powerplants, the shipyard says top speed is 26 to 29 knots. At a 5-knot cruise speed and periodically recharging the batteries via the diesels, range is a reported 1,500 nautical miles.

Greenline Yachts operates with a mindset the Slovenian builder refers to as “responsible yachting.” The idea is to include far more than hybrid propulsion and solar panels. The ethos of the brand is built around efficiency in the water, starting with what it calls “super-displacement” hulls. They are designed to allow for an efficient, stable ride at low and high speeds, with additional eco-minded efforts during the construction process and shipyard cleanup.

“Responsible yachting is a philosophy which has led us to make significant reduction in waste and energy usage at the yard, eliminating paper-based marketing material and recycling as much as we can,” Zinchenko states.

According to Greenline, the 6G H-Drive is best used for short-distance maneuvering and powering the yacht’s hotel loads at anchor. The builder says owners can expect up to three days at anchor without needing a generator, based on 20 kilowatt-hours of solar input.

Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid
The 4 kW solar array enables as many as three days and nights at anchor without needing to fire up a generator, helping to keep noise and emissions to a minimum. Courtesy Greenline Yachts

The standard 6G H-Drive gets up to 20 nm in silent electric mode with speeds up to 6 knots. Greenline also offers a high-voltage 6G H-Drive setup, which replaces the standard battery bank with two 39.1 kWh, 720-volt LiFePo4 batteries. The high-voltage option increases the hybrid drive’s top speed to 10 knots, and decreases the charge time from three hours to 30 minutes in diesel mode.

Naval architect Marco Casali penned the design for the 58 Fly Hybrid, whose silhouette minimizes the appearance of the flybridge while maximizing its usable space.

Exterior entertainment spaces include a dining table and lounges in the cockpit and on the flybridge, as well as a sun pad on the foredeck. The flybridge grilling station shown here is optional. Courtesy Greenline Yachts

Accommodations can be three staterooms or two staterooms and an office. Owners can also opt for a captain’s cabin abaft the master stateroom amidships.

Tiara Yachts plans to introduce its 56 LS at the Miami International Boat Show in February. The 56 LS expands the builder’s Luxury Sport series, which now stretches from 34 to 56 feet length overall. This series is designed for outboard propulsion, and the 56 will be the Michigan-based builder’s first quad-engine model.

“The Luxury Sport formula has been a successful one for Tiara, elevating the day-yachting experience with versatile social zones and luxurious amenities. The 56 LS builds upon that foundation. Everything is amplified on this boat,” Tiara Yachts CEO Tom Slikkers said in a press release. “I’m confident our customers are going to be just as excited as we are about this addition to our portfolio.”

Equipped with four 600 hp Mercury Verado V-12s, this yacht is expected to have a top speed of nearly 50 knots, making it one of the fastest Tiaras ever built. Pair that with the 21 degrees of deadrise at the transom, and this 56-foot cruiser should get on plane quickly and handle chop with ease.

Social spaces from the stern to the bow are accented with thoughtful design elements. The cockpit is flanked by foldout terraces, expanding the beam by nearly 6 feet and increasing the space around the modular lounge area. The idea is for owners and their guests to be able to use that space in various ways.

Multiple areas aboard the 56 LS have modular design, including the master stateroom shown here. The berth splits into twins, depending on how owners want to use the space. Courtesy Tiara Yachts

Andrew Bartlett, director of design at Tiara, says a goal for this model is to give fans of the Luxury Sport line even more of what they want. “Our LS line has been a favorite of our customers, and we’re eager to showcase this new addition to our portfolio,” Bartlett stated in a press release. “Our customers will find multiple features on board that allow them to enjoy the water, entertain family and friends, and comfortably stay overnight. As outboard models continue to have a resurgence in the boating industry, we’re excited to introduce another Tiara to the market.”

Accommodations for up to four people are belowdecks. Amidships, the full-beam master stateroom has a centerline berth and en suite head. The VIP stateroom is forward, in the bow, also with a centerline berth and en suite head.

Riviera’s sport yacht collection flagship, the 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, had its American premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. A combination of design elements make the 6800 equally suited for long-distance passages, weekend cruises and dayboating.

The Australian-based builder, whose range of yachts spans 39 to 78 feet length overall, was aiming for a fun entertainment platform when it designed the 6800. The result is a stylish cruiser with a variety of entertainment spaces, from the swim platform to the bow lounge.

The broad strokes of the main deck’s interior are simple. The galley-aft layout reinforces the yacht’s entertainment-friendly sensibility by serving the cockpit and salon. The galley is equipped with a three-element induction cooktop, a combination oven with an integrated grill, a range hood, a double sink, a microwave and a dishwasher.

Owners can select from a variety of custom options on board, including Starlink high-speed internet, Praxis solar charging systems, and factory-fitted stabilization—gyroscopic or fin-based. Owners also can opt for a personalized laundry room or a crew cabin, if they’d prefer to have a captain or mate.

Performance is never overlooked on a Riviera, which has to account for the rough waters off the coast of Australia. The 6800’s powerplant package is twin 1,000 hp Volvo Penta D13 IPS1350 diesels, which give it a reported 32-knot top hop. The 6800 has a 27-knot fast cruise, at which owners can expect a 450-nautical-mile range. Pulling back on the speed to 10 knots drops the fuel burn below 1 gallon per nautical mile and increases the range to more than 1,100 nm. The yacht’s full-height engine room can be accessed via the transom door or through the master stateroom for daily maintenance checks.

With three or four staterooms, Riviera’s 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition is a yacht built for cruising couples and families who want to welcome friends, have strong performance and relax in onboard comfort.

With more than 60 years of experience and a current range of boats that stretches from a 28-foot center-console to a 61-foot convertible, Bertram Yachts is launching the third model in its center-console line: the 34CC. Why a 34-foot center-console? According to Bertram’s vice president of sales, Tommy Thompson, it was a happy medium between two of the builder’s current models, the 28CC and 39CC. But it also allowed the new build to meet two specific criteria: a variety of powerplant options and forward cabin access.

The 34CC comes standard with twin 400 hp Mercury Verados; however, the 34-footer can also handle triple 300 hp and 350 hp outboards. “You reach a size where you can be too small that you can’t have triples, you can be too big and you can’t have doubles, so we wanted to have the option of having 800, 900 or 1,050 horsepower,” Thompson says. “A huge feature we don’t dare eliminate from the boat by going down to a [32- or 33-foot build] is the entrance to the lower cabin. In a 34-foot boat, who wants to go through a side door out in the rain? It’s not just an entrance. It’s a real lower cabin. Two people can sleep down there.”

The combination of powerplant options and 23 degrees of deadrise at the transom is the result of Bertram’s experience with building other models. “We’ve integrated lessons from our best-running hulls to create the perfect blend,” according to Nicholas Fletcher, Bertram’s naval architect program manager. “We focused on balancing weight and running surface to deliver a ride that is comfortable and dynamically refined.”

Dan Hamilton, Bertram’s director of product development and engineering, says the builder also leaned into tried-and-true methods with the deep-V hull design.

“We prioritize resilient, proven system designs over high-tech solutions that can be difficult to manage,” Hamilton says. “Our approach ensures reliability and ease of use for our customers.”

Getting the proportions of the boat correct required Bertram to balance as much forward seating as possible with as much cockpit space aft as the design team could manage. And, as with other Bertrams, it had to be accomplished with an eye toward fishability. The 34CC has four insulated fish boxes, rod stowage and rod holders. There are also three helm seats for the crew to sit comfortably on longer runs out to the fishing grounds.

Bertram is hinting at expanding its center-console lineup with larger models too.

Introduced this year at the Venice Boat Show, Azimut Yachts’ Seadeck 6 is the debut model of the builder’s Seadeck Series—its first range of low-emissions yachts. Azimut says the 57-foot express cruiser will reduce carbon-dioxide emissions by as much as 40 percent in one year of average use compared to similar-size yachts.

Azimut builds this model in carbon fiber, a material the builder helped pioneer within the industry. It’s used on 40 percent of the Seadeck 6’s surface, including the deckhouse, roof, wings, swim platform and most of the main deck. The resulting light weight lessens fuel consumption and emissions.

The Seadeck 6 also introduces a system Azimut calls Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode, which allows zero emissions at anchor as well as while cruising with the generator off, further reducing fossil-fuel consumption. Azimut says owners can expect four hours of zero-emissions anchoring during the day and eight hours at night, depending on weather conditions. Underway, the builder expects eight hours of stabilizer and air-conditioning operation sans generator.

Alberto Mancini penned the exterior lines for the Seadeck 6. The yacht’s hull is wider at the stern and more streamlined at the bow. When compared to standard planing hulls, this design allows the Seadeck 6 to get on plane sooner, reducing drag at lower speeds and increasing range at peak efficiency while maintaining a smooth ride throughout the rpm range.

Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez handled the interior design with a focus on keeping guests connected with their environment. “A boat should be timeless in both a functional and aesthetic sense,” Thun says. “Conscious design is driven by a vision of a more human, natural and sustainable life.” The architects chose to use oak ribbing throughout and brise soleil on the ceiling, elements that create depth, character and a sense of tactile luxury.

The Seadeck 6 has a three-stateroom, two-head layout that accommodates six guests. It also has a crew cabin if owners prefer having a captain, mate or both for extended sojourns.

Standard power is triple 380 hp Volvo Penta IPS500 engines. Owners can opt for a set of triple 480 hp IPS650s. With the bigger diesels, the Seadeck 6 has a reported 33-knot top hop and a 24-knot cruise speed.
